The Behavior Change Communication (BCC) Taskforce aims to strengthen the knowledge base on ‘what works’ when changing behaviors along the sanitation value chain and across stakeholder groups. It presented a synopsis of the three outputs that it has been working on:
- Mapping social and behavior change communication (SBCC) opportunities along the sanitation value chain
- A repository of existing research for SBCC in sanitation
- A Practitioners Guide to provide city-level partners with effective solutions and tools to implement SBCC programming.
How do you engage citizens in sanitation?
To ensure sustainable sanitation, it is critical to involve the community. The city of Warangal has demonstrated success in engaging its citizens to make Warangal a model sanitation city. This was made possible through the efforts of ASCI, a research and training organization and the local government. This video highlights the role of effective BCC in enabling sustainable sanitation.
